Pronounced “Shoots,” Chutes Provincial Park is a hidden gem just 12 minutes from Denvic House in Massey. It’s the only provincial park between Sudbury and Sault Ste. Marie, making it a must-visit for nature lovers in the area.

The park features a scenic 6 km hiking loop with lookouts over dramatic waterfalls, a peaceful river gorge, and lush forest. It’s a perfect spot for hiking, photography, or a relaxing picnic surrounded by nature.

Whether you’re up for a hike or just want to soak in the views, Chutes is a beautiful way to spend part of your day.


Waterfalls Lodge – Just 30 Seconds Away

Only a 30-second drive from Denvic House, Waterfalls Lodge offers a fully licensed, 4-season restaurant, perfect for a warm meal anytime of year. Their hours vary depending on the season so please call ahead. 

As our guest, you’ll also have access to their 5-lake chain, with extra kayaks or canoes available if needed (minimal extra fee). Their on-site pro shop makes it easy to grab fishing gear, bait, or any last-minute essentials.

A great spot to eat, paddle, or stock up—right next door to your stay.



Snowmobile Access + Heated Storage

Denvic House is a great home base for sledding adventures — just 4 minutes from access to the OFSC trail system, which connects to Massey, Espanola, and beyond. Whether you’re exploring local routes or planning a longer snowmobile trip, you’ll be perfectly positioned to hit the trails with ease.

Guests are welcome to store their snowmobiles in our heated garage, keeping your sleds warm, dry, and ready for the next ride.

Fishing Adventures – Minutes from Your Door

Denvic House puts you close to some of Northern Ontario’s best water access:

  • Smith Lake (Pictured right) – 10 minutes away and free to access, this quiet lake is great for bass, walleye, and peaceful paddling.

  • Denvic Lake – Fish or paddle right from the dock on our clean, semi-private lake (small fee applies). 

  • Tube Lake at Waterfalls Lodge – Just 30 seconds away, guests can access a 5-lake chain with extra kayaks and canoes available (small fee applies).

  • Spanish Marina – A short drive gives you access to Lake Huron and the famous North Channel, ideal for big-water fishing (marina fees apply).

    Antiquing at Sandra’s – Just 7 Minutes Away

    One of the many things to do nearby is antiquing, and Sandra’s Variety of Treasures in Spanish, Ontario is a local favourite.
